This video explains the concept of Creating Shared Value - taking Corporate Social Responsibility beyond the desire for good PR, to tailoring business to meet and benefit from the needs of communities. Excellent stuff.

Well done World Vision. Well done Australia. So proud to be among such a generous population.
I handed in my resignation letter this week. In less than three months I will no longer work for the UN in Cambodia. I’m not ready to leave. I’ve not made a deep enough mark here yet… I’m just starting to get my hands dirty. And I’m not ready to say goodbye to the amazing colleagues, friends and acquaintances I’ve made here in Cambodia. I’m still loving the work. I’m still learning. I’m still enjoying my life here.
But I will leave.
Because, with the words of my wonderful, supportive Australian supervisor ringing in my head: the best decisions we make in this industry are the ones where we put our families first.
So I might not be 100% ready to leave Cambodia, but I am 100% ready to start the next adventure. Because sometimes you can’t have it all – work and family. I’ve put work first for a good few years. Now I’m going to put family first…and with any luck, in a few years, I’ll manage to combine them.
But for now that means leaving Cambodia for the sunny coast of California. For job uncertainty, but also for love.
It’s always a strange combination of sheer excitement and terrified panic that I begin a new chapter of life. Some people think it’s brave, but I’m not sure I have any other choice. I’m simply making the best decisions I can, determined only by identifying what would make me happiest. I hope we all have the good sense to do that.
This incredible video tells the stories of some Cambodian volunteers who are dedicated to ending discrimination against women. Their efforts - and the efforts of thousands of people like them across the country - are changing mindsets and making gender equality a reality in Cambodia.
